Automation HQ: Shipping & Delivery Policy

 


1. Order Processing Time

At Automation HQ, we are committed to promptly preparing your smart home solutions.

  • Standard Processing: All orders are typically processed and prepared for dispatch or installation scheduling within 3-5 business days. This allows for necessary pre-shipment checks and configuration.

  • Potential Delays: Please note that due to potential factors such as load shedding, unforeseen supply chain issues, or high order volumes, processing times may occasionally be extended.

  • Non-Business Days: Orders are not processed or dispatched on weekends or public holidays.

  • Communication: Should there be any significant delay in processing your order, the Automation HQ team will proactively contact you via email or telephone to keep you informed.

2. Delivery Fees

Delivery fees are calculated based on the size, weight, and destination of your order, as well as the selected shipping method (e.g., standard, express).

  • Online Calculation: Applicable delivery charges will be displayed and added to your total during the checkout process on our website.

  • Free Delivery: We offer free standard delivery on orders exceeding R500.

  • Installation-Inclusive Delivery: For orders that include our professional installation services, the delivery fee (if applicable) will be incorporated into the overall service quotation.

3. Your Delivery Address & Delivery Method

  • Valid Address Required: Please ensure you provide a complete and accurate South African delivery address during checkout.

  • Surcharges for Errors: In the event that an incorrect or incomplete address is provided, and this leads to delivery failures or additional charges from the courier, any resulting surcharges will be billed to your account.

  • High-Risk and Remote Deliveries: Automation HQ reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to change the final delivery method from door-to-door to a designated, safe collection point (such as a courier locker box or nearest reliable depot), particularly if the delivery address is classified by our courier partners as a high-risk area, remote, or if it incurs excessive surcharges. We will notify you of any such change, and the package must then be collected by the Customer from the specified safe collection point.

4. Delivery Confirmation and Order Tracking

  • Dispatch Notification: Once your order has been dispatched from our warehouse, you will receive a Delivery Confirmation email. This email will contain your tracking number(s) and a link to track your order online.

  • Tracking Page: You can also track your order directly via the "Order Tracking" page on your account.

5. Delivery Delays & Acceptance

  • Courier Communication: The courier company will typically contact you once your order has been collected from our warehouse to arrange delivery.

  • Approximation Only: While we strive to meet advised delivery timeframes, all delivery dates are estimates. Delays can occur due to third-party couriers, logistical challenges, or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control.

  • No Liability for Delays: Automation HQ shall not be liable for any losses, costs, damages, charges, or expenses incurred by you due to any delay in the delivery of goods. Such delays will not be grounds for cancellation of the sale.

  • Signature Required: For security and verification purposes, all deliveries require a signature upon receipt. Goods will not be left unattended.

  • Arrangements for Delivery: You are responsible for making all necessary arrangements to take delivery of the goods when they are tendered. If you are not available at the agreed delivery time and the courier is unable to contact you, we reserve the right to charge a re-delivery fee of 10% of the purchase amount to cover additional courier costs.

  • Partial Deliveries: Some orders, especially those involving multiple items or installation components, may be delivered in more than one shipment.

6. Damages & Missing Items Upon Delivery

  • Immediate Inspection: Upon receiving your order, please inspect the packaging and contents immediately for any visible damage or missing items.

  • Reporting: In case you receive a product with visible damage to the packaging or contents, or if items are missing, you must notify us via call or email within 48 hours of delivery.

  • Resolution: If notified within 48 hours, we will facilitate the collection and replacement of the damaged/missing product(s) or provide a suitable resolution. Failure to report visible damage or missing items within 48 hours will result in your claim being voided.

  • Installation Damage: Our professional installation services aim to ensure safe and correct setup. We take no responsibility for any damage to goods or property, or personal injury, that may occur if products are installed or handled by unqualified individuals.

7. Delivery Outside South Africa

  • Automation HQ currently does not offer delivery outside the Republic of South Africa. All orders must have a valid South African delivery address.
