The Aqara Hub E1 is the smallest and most affordable smart home hub in the Aqara lineup, designed to provide a powerful, yet discreet, entry point into the smart home ecosystem. Its ultra-compact, portable USB format allows it to be placed almost anywhere, serving as the dependable brain for your Aqara devices.

Compact Design & Flexible Power

• Powered by USB-A: The E1 is powered via an integrated USB-A port (5V/0.5A), allowing it to be plugged directly into nearly any USB-equipped device, such as a power bank, power strip, PC, or router, for clean, simple installation.

• 210° Adjustable Shaft: The USB-A shaft can be adjusted up to 210 degrees, making its placement extremely flexible—perfect for discreetly positioning it in tight spaces or behind furniture.

• Small and Portable: Occupies minimal space, making it easy to carry and install anywhere, even as an additional hub to extend coverage.

Connectivity and Ecosystem Integration

• Zigbee 3.0 Hub: Utilizes the fast, stable, and energy-efficient Zigbee 3.0 protocol, allowing you to seamlessly connect and manage up to 128 Aqara child devices (requires Zigbee router devices like the Smart Plug or Wired Switch).

• All-Round Compatibility: The Hub E1 acts as a bridge, making all connected Aqara child devices compatible with most popular smart home ecosystems and voice assistants, including Apple HomeKit, Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, and IFTTT.

• Wi-Fi Repeater Function: Not only does the E1 expand your Zigbee network, but it also acts as a Wi-Fi 2.4 GHz repeater, helping to extend the coverage and stabilize the connection for other devices in areas with weak signal.

Home Automation and Functionality

• Centralized Control: The E1 acts as a central controller, allowing you to set up sophisticated smart home automations—for instance, turning on lights when motion is detected or controlling your roller shades based on schedules or triggers.

• DIY Security System: Although the E1 does not have a built-in speaker/siren, it is exposed to platforms like HomeKit as a security system, allowing you to create custom security automations using connected Aqara sensors.
